The institution is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, with MTI No.: 202078. AMTCR is dedicated to preparing the youth of India for careers in the Merchant Navy, specifically through its GP Rating program, conducted under the guidelines of the DGS.
